The Administration Building for the UTT Campus Tamana InTech Park has been named in honour of Professor Emeritus Kenneth Julien.
An event was held today, during which time Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley said the move will serve as an enduring testament to the Professor’s legacy at UTT.
He is credited as a key figure in the University’s establishment, and served as chairman and president from 2004 to 2010 and then from 2015 to 2020.
Dr Rowley also referred to Professor Julien as a “national treasure”, saying his legacy saw him as a pillar of knowledge and inspiration in the field of engineering, both locally and internationally.
In addition to decades in academics, the Professor also served on several state positions, including the Board of Directors at T&TEC.
