Relief continues to reach Grenada following the devastation caused by Hurricane Beryl.
USAID has extended support in the form of care packages, primarily to senior citizens, who were displaced from Carriacou to mainland Grenada.
The relief was granted through USAID’s Youth Resilience, Inclusion, and Empowerment Programme.
It has been said that almost 95% of the housing stock on Carriacou and neighbouring Petite Martinique was wiped out by the passage of the hurricane back on July 1st.
Scenes on Carriacou in particular were described by Prime Minister Dickon Mitchell as “almost Armageddon-like.”
