The Mayaro MP and the US Ambassador have met and discussed energy and security issues affecting the region.

MP Rushton Paray hosted Ambassador Candace Bond at his office in what the MP says marks the first time a US Ambassador has made an official visit to Mayaro/Rio Claro.

The parties delved into strategies to combat and eliminate narco-trafficking and human trafficking which both impact the well-being of local communities.

Additionally, discussions revolved around exploring enhanced collaboration between the United States and Mayaro.
