The UNC has announced its withdrawal from the Council for Responsible Political Behaviour.

The Council has been responsible for monitoring political parties, candidates and supporters for adherence to the Code of Ethical Political Conduct.

The UNC yesterday wrote to Council Chairman Dr Bishnu Ragoonath indicating its withdrawal but providing no reason for the decision.

The party also said it remains committed to upholding T&T’s Constitution and the country’s laws.
