The UNC will Thursday, end of its nomination process for persons seeking to run for office in the next General Elections under the party’s banner.
The nomination packages are being submitted to the UNC’s headquarters, which the party says remain open until 6pm today and on Thursday.
The next general elections are constitutionally due next year.
UNC nominations have been open since December, and many incumbent MPs are throwing their hats back into the ring.
According to one report, there are multiple nominations for UNC-held seats and marginal seats, including St Joseph, San Fernando West, Tunapuna, Toco and Sangre Grande.
