The Opposition Leader will be meeting representatives of a number of unions and political parties this afternoon.

According to the UNC, from 3pm, Mrs Kamla Persad-Bissessar will meet with PEP, MND, OWTU, COP, HOPE and PSA.

The party says, following these meetings, it will begin screening of nominees for Arima, Arouca/Maloney, D’Abadie/O’Meara, Lopinot/Bon Air West and St Augustine.

It adds that the screening will start today and be completed at a later date.
