The UNC’s Deputy Leader is today hailing Kamla Persad-Bissessar as a leader who made the party into a “strong, diverse national institution of hope.”

Today marks 14 years since Mrs Persad-Bissessar was elected as UNC Political Leader.

According to David Lee, she broke the political glass ceiling and took the party to the “corridors of power.”

He believes that never before has T&T had an Opposition that has been as proactive, vociferous and brave to challenge government on the issues that matter most.
