The UNC is calling on Government to clear up rumours and social media claims regarding the Property Tax.

A number of persons have shared photos showing notices allegedly announcing the suspension of Property Tax payments.

Another post claimed that forms would be re-sent as previous forms submitted were null and void.

In the wake of these, UNC PRO Dr Kirk Meighoo is calling for further clarification and details from the Ministry of Finance.

He also re-stated a call for Government to stop implementation of the tax and to instead re-implement the previous (2009) Land and Building Taxes.
