The UN says one of its colleagues was killed after an official vehicle was struck in Gaza.
The development was confirmed by UN General Secretary António Guterres, who says more than 190 UN staff have now been killed in Gaza.

Al Jazeera says it has verified video which show heavy damage to a clearly marked UN vehicle which came under fire by Israeli forces.
The UN also confirmed that the attack killed a foreign staff member, though it did not say what country the victim was from.
Another person was also injured.
An update from Al Jazeera also says “The UN has confirmed its first international staff casualty in Gaza after a UN vehicle was hit in Rafah. Farhan Haq, a spokesperson for UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, said during a news conference that the total number of UN staff killed in Gaza since October 7 has reached 190. He said the Rafah incident could be characterised as an attack.”
