Two robbery suspects have been arrested following a heist at a mini mart and tyre shop in Caparo.

According to police, around 8:45pm yesterday officers responded to a report of robbery at the location where the victims were a 13-year-old girl, 20-year-old man and a 41-year-old woman.

Two masked men exited a silver Nissan AD Wagon and announced a hold-up before taking cigarettes and cash and escaping.

Police eventually intercepted the car at Edinburgh 500, Chaguanas and arrested a 29-year-old man and 35-year-old man, both from Longdenville.

They also recovered a pistol and seven rounds of ammunition.
