Two suspects caught after robbing fish vendor

Two men, 18 and 20 years old, were caught by police following the robbery of a fish vendor in Sangre Grande.

The vendor was driving his Kia k2700 van along Rampartap Trace in Coalmine around 12:20pm on January 18th, 2024 when two men emerged from nearby bushes.

The men, one armed with a gun, announced a hold-up and stole the fish vendor’s Samsung cell phone and $3,500 before escaping.

The victim reported the incident to police who launched a manhunt and found the two suspects in some bushes a short distance away with the stolen items, a homemade shotgun and one round of ammunition.
