Two of the 11 Venezuelan women found at a spa in Cunupia on Tuesday were identified as potential victims of human trafficking.

This is according to the National Security Ministry which issued a statement about the incident overnight.

The other nine women were left in the custody of Cunupia police to be further processed by Immigration Division officers.

The Counter Trafficking Unit is working alongside law enforcement to ensure that victims receive the care and protection needed.
