Two men have been charged with the kidnapping and false imprisonment of a woman which allegedly occurred yesterday.

The accused, a 28-year-old male relative of the woman and an 18-year-old man, were jointly charged this morning.

According to police, a woman said around 8:20pm last night, she was taken from her home in Biche by two men armed with cutlasses.

She managed to escape and reported the incident to police, after which both suspects were subsequently arrested.

Meanwhile, in a separate incident, two suspects have appeared in court charged with double murder.

33-year-old Martin Dedier and 32-year-old Kenniatha Glasgow were also charged for possessing a firearm and ammunition.

The TTPS states that Elijah Brewster and Leon Sylvester were in Carenage around 10:45pm on August 14th, 2023, when armed men approached them and opened fire.

The two victims were killed while the gunmen escaped.

The suspects were arrested last week and will reappear in court on October 16th, 2023.
