TUCO President denies influence of “Mafia” in Road March results

TUCO President Ainsley King is denying the influence of any “Mafia” in determining the Road March winner.

There have been claims that some entertainers are often favoured over others, leading to their music dominating during Carnival.

This was raised today during a media conference to announce the Road March and Band of the Year winners, leading to a denial from Mr King.

Mr King also commented on TUCO’s recent dismissal of a tabulator, after she spoke to the media yesterday regarding the songs that were at the time leading the Road March race.

He referred to it as a “breach” in their code of conduct, adding that steps will be taken to prevent a recurrence.
