TTUTA is insisting that the Tranquility Secondary School must be sanitized after a suspected case of tuberculosis.

In a media release sent last night, the association says it was agreed that sanitization was necessary and would be conducted by MTS sometime today.

However, TTUTA claims that they were told by a Schools Supervisor III that this would not be happening, and it says staff at the school has been left feeling confused and upset.

TTUTA says the school must be sanitized and is urging the Education Ministry to release tranches of funding allocated to the school to help with the implementation of available safety protocols.
