T&T has a chance to grab its first 2023 PanAm gold medal as Nicholas Paul is into the final of the Men’s Cycling Sprint.

Paul came up against Colombia’s Kevin Quintero and won the first two of three races in the semi-final to book a spot in the final later today.

Paul will face Jair Tjon En Fa from Suriname at 6pm T&T time.

Quintero and Canada’s Nick Wammes will battle for bronze just before the gold medal race.

T&T currently has one medal at the 2023 Games – a bronze won by the Men’s 3×3 Basketball team.
