T&T’s demand for foreign currency is now impacting Guyana.

That’s the claim by PPP General Secretary and Guyana’s Vice-President, Bharrat Jagdeo.

During a media conference this afternoon, Mr Jagdeo said T&T’s businessmen are struggling to access forex, leading some to seek it in or via Guyana.

Mr Jagdeo says this means a “big additional demand” for forex in Guyana, but assures there are enough resources to ensure domestic demand.
