T&T’s Cheyne West has advanced to the semi-finals of the men’s 400m hurdles at the World Athletics U20 Championships in Lima, Peru.

West ran a personal best of 52.18 seconds to place fourth in his heat and book a spot in the semis to be run on August 30th, 2024.

Another T&T athlete, Dorian Charles, missed out on the semis with a time of 53.65.

In the women’s 400m hurdles, T&T’s Jenna Marie-Thomas ran a time of 1:01.91 but missed out on advancing from her heat.

In the 400m event, T&T’s Jaden Clement progressed to the semi-final after placing third in his heat with a time of 47.63.

Countryman Kyrell Thomas missed out on the semis with a time of 48.02.
