A TTPS official has sought to provide some clarification following conflicting claims of a ransom demand being made for the return of Anisha Hosein-Singh.
Yesterday while being interviewed on a radio programme, ACP Wayne Mystar said a ransom demand had been made, with “special negotiations” underway.
Members of Mrs Hosein-Singh’s family have since denied this.
103.1FM News spoke today with Joanne Archie, Manager of Corporate Communications at the TTPS, who said the investigation is currently at a sensitive stage and that no public statement will be made at this time regarding the case.
As for the comments made by ACP Mystar, Ms Archie said that issue was being addressed internally.
