TTPS: Airport killing was a targeted attack, assures no public threat

The TTPS says that the shooting incident at the Piarco International Airport yesterday morning was a targeted attack.

It has assured that the incident poses no immediate threat to the general public.

Following the incident, a meeting was headed by DCP Curt Simon and DCP Suzette Martin to address the shooting, while Homicide Bureau continues to pursue several leads in the investigation.

On Thursday morning around 1:45AM, 33-year-old Arkim Quashie was shot dead outside the airport’s arrival terminal, having just returned from abroad.
