TTPOST has referred a misleading video to the TTPS for investigation.

In a statement, the company said the video shows poll cards apparently scattered on a sidewalk, along with the claim that they had been discarded by TTPOST delivery personnel.

It says a thorough internal review determined that the cards were not discarded by its staff, and believes the video was deliberately created to misinform the public and erode trust in the postal system during a critical electoral period.

As such, TTPOST has requested that the TTPS investigate the origins and intent of the video and determine whether any offenses have been committed.

It also insists there are strict protocols for the delivery of all mail, especially electoral poll cards, with each item logged, tracked and delivered by designated officers under close supervision.

It adds that any deviation from procedure is met with immediate disciplinary action, up to and including dismissal.
