T&T is in the peak of what is known as the Heat Season.
TTMS Meteorologist Gary Benjamin confirmed to 103.1FM News that yesterday’s recording of 34.7 degrees Celsius in Piarco was the hottest for the year.
He added that this heat season and a weather system last week both contributed to the hotter temperatures.
Mr Benjamin said warmer nights may also be experienced, depending on the amount of clouds to trap the heat.
The peak of the heat season will continue until the end of September.
Mr Benjamin added that a tropical wave is expected for tomorrow.
The official forecast for tomorrow is for partly cloudy/cloudy conditions with periods of showers/rain.
There is a 60% chance of showers becoming heavy and/or thundery.
