The TTMS has discontinued an adverse weather alert issued last night.
It says most of the activity associated with the band of thunderstorms that affected Trinidad overnight has now progressed past the island and into eastern offshore waters.
In addition to heavy showers, many persons also reported consistent lightening.
The TTMS says while there is still a 40% (medium) chance of thunderstorm activity today, most of the impactful weather has now subsided.
Sea conditions, particularly in the Gulf of Paria, have now significantly improved as well with little to no disruption to activities expected.
