The Met Service has discontinued its Adverse Weather Alert a few hours earlier than scheduled.

The advisory was due to end at 6pm today.

The TTMS says the threat of impactful weather has significantly reduced, though atmospheric conditions are still minimally supportive of occasional showers.

In the event of heavy downpours, there may be minor localized flooding along smaller river courses.

It also warns that while the risk of landslides or landslips in vulnerable areas is reduced, it still exists due to saturated soils.
