A bush fire was reported yesterday in the vicinity of the Port of Spain General Hospital.

Around 6:14pm, fire officers responded to the blaze behind the County Medical Office on Jerningham Avenue.

It impacted half an acre of uncultivated land on the bank of the East Dry River and was put out by the responding officers.

Videos of the blaze are circulating on social media, some with the inaccurate caption that the fire was on the hospital’s compound.
