T&TEC suffered a brief disruption to its online payment systems due to the global IT outage.

Reuters says an update to a product offered by global cybersecurity firm CrowdStrike appeared to be the trigger, affecting customers using Microsoft’s Windows Operating System.

T&TEC assures that the disruption it suffered has been resolved and persons can resume payments via Quick Pay and Customer Web Access.

Card and cash payments are also being processed as normal at service centres.
