T&TEC has issued a statement after a utility pole with transformers fell onto a vehicle outside the Pleasantville Health Centre today.
103.1FM News reached out to the power company which said around 9am trucks were driving along Chaconia Avenue when they hooked onto cables from another utility company.
T&TEC added that this force eventually pulled on its infrastructure, bringing down the pole and two transformers onto the vehicle.
The company said the driver was unhurt and power was restored to the area, except to the health centre which is directly supplied by the downed pole.
It noted that T&TEC would replant a pole with transformers to restore supply to the facility.
There is no statement on the matter of compensation for the damage to the vehicle until investigations into the incident are completed.
