T&TEC granted injunction against OWTU

T&TEC has been granted an injunction against the OWTU.

In a statement the Commission says it submitted an amended application to the Industrial Court to “prevent further acts of unlawful industrial action” by the Union

An order was granted yesterday by Justices Heather Seale, Herbert Soverall and Michelle Ann Austin.

T&TEC says in keeping with the court’s directive, the text of the injunction will be published for a period of two weeks, after the final order has been issued.

Back in October, certain workers reportedly failed to report for duty, severely impacting T&TEC’s operations.

An article by the T&T Guardian also states that the injunction will prevent the union from picketing the homes of various T&TEC officials.
