The T&T Bureau of Standards is advising persons to avoid the IGNITE brand of safety matches.

In a public statement, the Bureau says the matches have been rigorously tested and found to be unsafe, posing a risk to consumers.

It adds that people should refrain from purchasing or using the product.

It is also urging people to contact the Bureau if you have any information about the sale of the product.
