Several T&T students have been honoured by CXC for their performances in the 2023 CSEC and CAPE Exams.
At the CSEC level, Deanna Beepath of Rio Claro West Secondary School received the award for Most Outstanding Performance in Visual Arts 2D.
For CAPE, Darius Payne of Naparima College was the Most Outstanding Candidate in Natural Sciences, Isabelle d’Abadie of St Joseph’s Convent – Port of Spain earned the award for Most Outstanding Candidate in Humanities, and Ryker Harricharan of Hillview College copped the RM Education Award for CAPE Mathematics.
The awards however were dominated by Guyana – CSEC School of the Year 2023 was the Anna Regina Secondary School while Queen’s College was recognized as CAPE School of the Year.
Individually, Alex Muntaz of Guyana was named Most Outstanding Candidate Overall in CSEC, completing 27 subjects in this past sitting – he achieved Grade I in 24 subjects.
The Most Outstanding Candidate Overall in CAPE was Naresh Jagnanan of Queen’s College, Guyana.
