A new cohort of T&T scholars has been awarded Fulbright scholarships.
Under this initiative, the US State Department funds graduate-level programs in various fields at universities in the United States.
At a pre-departure orientation on July 21st at the U.S. Embassy, U.S. Ambassador Candace Bond congratulated the awardees, saying it was a testament to their “intelligence, passion for learning, and curious minds”.
She also encouraged the outgoing scholars to take advantage of the many opportunities at their host universities.
The 2023 T&T Fulbright scholarship recipients include:
- Nadia Tewarie, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Hubert Humphrey Fellowship in Urban and Regional Planning
- Kara Roopsingh: University of California, Davis, Hubert Humphrey Fellowship in Natural Resources, Environmental Policy, and Climate Change
- Aaliah De Gale: Rochester Institute of Technology, Master of Science in Packaging Science
- Kareem Tinto: Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey, Master of Arts in Translation and Interpretation Studies
- Tennille Alleyne: Wake Forest University, School of Law, Master of Laws in International Law
