T&T Promoters Assn: Time to reform entertainment and tourism sectors

The Trinidad and Tobago Promoters Association says now is the time to discuss entertainment and tourism sector reform with public and private stakeholders.

This includes talks with the Attorney General’s office for modern laws to protect patrons, entertainers, creators and event producers from industry challenges.

It notes the current administration’s willingness to support the growth of industries that can bring in foreign exchange.

With this in mind, the Association believes it can be a competent economic contributor at a time when economic diversification is at the forefront of national discussion.

The TTPA’s comments follow Saturday’s no-show of headline act Vybz Kartel and other featured artistes at the One Caribbean Music Festival at the Queen’s Park Savannah.
