The T&T Chamber of Industry and Commerce has responded to the Prime Minister’s resignation announcement, saying it looks forward to continued collaboration with the incoming leadership.
Today, Dr Keith Rowley revealed his intention to step down on March 16th 2025.
The Chamber says the challenges ahead include addressing crime and fostering economic resilience, both of which require a comprehensive and inclusive approach.
It also hopes to work closely with the incoming leadership to advance policies that enhance national development, economic diversification, and ease of doing business.
Meanwhile, the Chamber has praised the Prime Minister’s political legacy saying, “Dr. Rowley has played a pivotal role in shaping the political and economic landscape of Trinidad and Tobago. His tenure has been marked by steadfast leadership, particularly in navigating the country through complex economic and social challenges. We recognize his significant contributions and extend our best wishes to him as he embarks on this next chapter.”
