The T&T Chamber of Industry and Commerce has presented its Budget Recommendations to the Finance Ministry for the 2023/2024 fiscal year.

The recommendations focus on sectors including retail, construction, manufacturing, energy, and agriculture, with the aim of creating a better structured economy.

The Chamber adds further emphasis is required for green initiatives, the ease of doing business, youth development and cultural and creative industries.

It is also proposing a 100% tax deduction for individuals and businesses who donate to the TTPS and Crime Stoppers for operational and infrastructure support.
