T&T beat USA, lose on aggregate in Nations League

T&T are out of the Concacaf Nations League despite beating the USA 2-1 last night at the Hasley Crawford Stadium.

USA was on the scorecard first, thanks to a 25th minute strike from Antonee Robinson.

However, the match began to turn after a red card for Sergiño Dest in the 39th.

Reon Moore equalized for T&T in the closing stages of the 1st half, while Alvin Jones netted early in the 2nd half, to give T&T a 2-1 lead and eventual win.

This was the 2nd leg of their Nations League quarterfinal matchup against the US, and T&T unfortunately lost the first leg 3-0.

That meant an aggregate score of 4-2 in favour of the US.

The result means USA are through to the final 4 of the Nations League, and have also qualified for the 2024 Copa America.
