T&T has won the bronze medal in the Men’s 3×3 Basketball event at the PanAm Games in Santiago, Chile.

The team beat Venezuela in the bronze medal game by 21-20 with Ahkeel Boyd putting up 12 points.

T&T finished second in Group B after beating the Dominican Republic 22-15 and losing to Puerto Rico 21-6.

Team TTO then beat Brazil 20-19 in the quarter-finals before a 21-9 semi-final defeat to eventual gold medalists United States.

The team consisted of Moriba de Freitas, Chike Augustine, Ahkeel Boyd and Ahkeem Boyd.

The PanAm Games run until November 5th and T&T has put forward 63 competitors in seven disciplines.
