T&T and India have signed an MOU for the provision of up to US$1 million to assist this country in the field of agro-processing.
The Foreign Affairs Ministry says the MOU is for “Integrated Automated Fruit and Vegetable Processing.”
It adds that the project will be implemented by the Agriculture Ministry through NAMDEVCO.
The Ministry believes the MOU paves the way for the creation of economic and employment opportunities.
The agreement was signed on the sidelines of the Second CARICOM-India Summit in Guyana yesterday.
T&T Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley met with India Prime Minister Narendra Modi on deepening ties in cybersecurity training, digital transformation and national security.
