Officials from T&T and Colombia have reaffirmed commitment to deepening relations in matters of security.

National Security Minister Fitzgerald Hinds met with Colombian Ambassador William Bush earlier this week.

The Minister highlighted the importance of relations with T&T’s South American counterparts to tackle transnational organized crime.

This includes firearms trafficking, human trafficking, and narcotics trafficking affecting both nations.

A commitment was made at the meeting to reinvigorate the relationship between the Ministry and Colombia in the near future.
