Donald Trump will be sworn in for his second term as US President in Washington today.

According to BBC News, the ceremony has been moved from its traditional venue outside the US Capitol, to indoors.

There is a forecast of frigid temperatures with a wind chill of -13C.

Following the oath of office, Trump will address the nation before he is expected to parade across town to the White House.

The swearing-in is expected to take place around 1pm.
