A tropical depression is likely to form in the Central Atlantic during the next couple of days.

The National Hurricane Centre says showers and thunderstorm activity associated with an area of low pressure continues to show signs of organization.

This system is moving generally westward and is expected to turn west-northwestward early next week.

On the NHC’s forecast track, it is expected to pass well north of T&T.
