Transport Minister, Chief Traffic Warden discuss traffic congestion

Three priorities have been identified as part of efforts by the new Minister of Transport to address traffic congestion across T&T.

Minister Eli Zakour met today with Chief Traffic Warden Neville Sankar, to advance critical discussions on traffic management and public mobility.

Out of the discussions, the following priorities were identified:

  1. Strengthened coordination between the Traffic Management Branch and the Traffic Warden Division to streamline efforts and improve responsiveness.
  2. Increased presence of Traffic Wardens in key traffic hotspots nationwide to assist in real-time congestion management.
  3. Greater reliance on traffic data from both the National Traffic Management Centre and field-based Traffic Wardens to drive evidence-based recommendations and informed solutions.

Minister Zakour also called for the optimal utilisation of internal expertise and resources to deliver workable solutions.
