Three priorities have been identified as part of efforts by the new Minister of Transport to address traffic congestion across T&T.
Minister Eli Zakour met today with Chief Traffic Warden Neville Sankar, to advance critical discussions on traffic management and public mobility.
Out of the discussions, the following priorities were identified:
- Strengthened coordination between the Traffic Management Branch and the Traffic Warden Division to streamline efforts and improve responsiveness.
- Increased presence of Traffic Wardens in key traffic hotspots nationwide to assist in real-time congestion management.
- Greater reliance on traffic data from both the National Traffic Management Centre and field-based Traffic Wardens to drive evidence-based recommendations and informed solutions.
Minister Zakour also called for the optimal utilisation of internal expertise and resources to deliver workable solutions.
