A Toco man has been fined $30,000 for possession of a shotgun and ammunition.
40-year-old Gerald Joseph, a labourer from Balandra, pleaded guilty when he appeared in court and has been given 12 months to pay the fine.
If he fails to do so, he will serve three years’ hard labour.
On December 8th, 2023, police executed a search warrant at Joseph’s home and found the gun and a 12-gauge cartridge.
He was immediately arrested, and subsequently charged.
