The Environmental Management Authority has installed a temporary air monitoring station within the area of the oil spill in Tobago.

It says this will track the potential impacts to air quality due to the spill.

The EMA says members of its Tobago team are also in the field daily, ensuring that waste management and other environmental protocols are adhered to.
