Tilo Kruse’s walk from Toco to Icacos continues with the German backpacker saying it has been going much better than expected.

In his latest upload, he said he has been getting food, drinks, snacks and a place to sleep on each of his four days of walking so far.

Kruse added that he thought the walk would be more demanding, leaving him hungry for longer periods of time.

His latest accommodation came in the form a Baptist church in an area that looks like Manzanilla where he also tasted mauby for the first time, along with a meal of chicken and rice.

Kruse has been walking across Trinidad in a bid to showcase the country hospitality – his journey has been marred on one occasion when two men attempted to rob him.
