Three people have died following a fire in Sangre Grande.

Around 7:10am today, TTPS and fire officials responded to the blaze at Cooblal Trace, Toco Main Road.

After the fire was extinguished, officers found the burnt skeletal remains of three persons.

The victims were subsequently identified as 48-year-old Natasha Nancoo, 19-year-old Enrique Reyes and a 10-year-old boy.

The District Medical Officer ordered the removal of the remains to the Forensic Science Centre for post mortem.

Investigations are continuing to determine the cause of the fire.
