A Colombian man and two Dominican Republic women have been denied bail on charges stemming from alleged human trafficking and child prostitution.

The accused are 20-year-old Deivy Oscoro Silva, 33-year-old Digna Yulay Los Santos and 22-year-old Alexandra Chalas Pozo of Riseland Trace, Bethel, Tobago.

They were remanded into custody after a court appearance on December 4th, 2023 and will reappear in court on December 22nd, 2023.

Last month, officers received information of an alleged child prostitution ring where several minors were being held against their will.

Following surveillance, three persons were arrested, and three Latin American female minors were rescued.
