Three Arrested in Central Trinidad Anti-Extortion Operation

Three individuals were held for Extortion and Conspiracy to Murder during an operation carried out by officers in the Central Division on Friday.

They included a 28-year-old labourer and a 36-year-old unemployed woman, both held in connection with allegations of Demanding Money by Menace. A 43-year-old business proprietor was also taken into custody for Conspiracy to Commit Murder.

These arrests underscore the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service’s commitment to tackling serious crimes, particularly those involving extortion and threats to life. Authorities are urging anyone who may be a victim of extortion or similar criminal activity to report it immediately.

Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
