Well Services Ltd says it has secured a third-party company to supply the specialized equipment required for the salvage and recovery operations for 47-year-old Pete Phillip.

Mr Phillip is presumed dead, as he has been missing since the partial collapse of Rig 110 on December 22nd 2024.

Earlier this month, Well Services said it had identified the possible location of his body.

In an update today, the company said the third party entity is a highly regarded provider of advanced equipment with the requisite expertise for this type of operation.

It adds that this will accelerate efforts to ensure the recovery of Pete Phillip in compliance with all safety and environmental protocols.

The company says timely updates are being supplied to Mr Phillip’s family, with a WhatsApp group created to facilitate direct and timely updates.

According to Well Services, the latest update to the family was provided yesterday, January 22nd 2025.
