A preliminary investigation has been completed into the deaths of a baby and mother at the Scarborough General Hospital earlier in May.
According to the THA and the Tobago Regional Health Authority, the findings have revealed that doctors, nurses, midwives and other staff, did everything possible to save the life of 27-year-old Nadea Shanghie.
Shanghie and her baby Zeniah died a day apart at the hospital where officials say staff observed all appropriate clinical pathways in providing emergency care.
Nadea and Zeniah were laid to rest on May 25th at St John’s Anglican Church in Tobago.
