The THA has received money from the Central Government to help with expenses stemming from the recent oil spill on the island.
Chief Secretary Farley Augustine says the $50 million allocated in the mid-term budget was received yesterday afternoon.
He adds that the THA will work assiduously to ensure payments are made to “as many service providers as possible, within the shortest practicable time frame”.
The spill impacted the tourism and fishing industries in particular.
